About the opportunity:

• Outlier is looking for talented writers with fluency in English to help train generative artificial intelligence models.
• This reading and writing-intensive freelance opportunity is remote, with flexible hours that allow you to work whenever it suits you.
• Your tasks include reading English text to rank AI-generated responses, writing and rewriting prompts and responses (which may involve research and fact-checking), and assessing the factuality and relevance of AI-produced text.

Examples of desirable expertise:

• Experience as a professional writer or editor.
• Currently enrolled in or completed an associate degree or higher in a writing-related discipline at an accredited institution.
• A strong writing style, excellent English spelling and grammar, and solid logic and reasoning skills.
• Attention to detail and the ability to clearly explain the strengths and weaknesses of texts.

Payment:

• Pay rates vary by country and expertise, ranging approximately from $15 to $58 USD per hour, with specific rates depending on location, skills, and project requirements.
• Higher rates may be offered for advanced qualifications like PhDs, and some projects may include incentive payments.
