About The Opportunity
  • Outlier seeks talented writers fluent in English to help train generative AI models.
  • This freelance role is remote with flexible hours, allowing you to work when it suits you.
Your Contributions
  • Reading English texts to rank responses generated by AI.
  • Writing and rewriting prompts and responses, including research and fact-checking.
  • Assessing the factuality and relevance of AI-produced text.
Desired Expertise
  • Professional writing or editing experience.
  • Enrolled in or completed a writing-related degree at an accredited institution.
  • Strong writing style, excellent English spelling and grammar, along with reasoning skills.
  • Attention to detail with the ability to clearly explain strengths and weaknesses of texts.
Payment
  • Average rates for core work are approximately USD $15/hr in the US, up to £11/hr in the UK, and $20 CAD/hr in Canada.
  • Rates depend on expertise, location, project needs, and other factors. Higher rates may be offered to PhDs or for incentive projects.
