Job summary

Redfern Farm Services in Virden, Manitoba, is seeking an Agronomic Solutions Advisor. This role provides science-based agronomic guidance, develops whole-farm management strategies, and supports customer success through crop production solutions and advisory relationships.

The position focuses on building trusted relationships with producers, delivering integrated crop plans, and staying current with research and technologies to improve yield and sustainability.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree related to Agronomy/Agriculture or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent written, communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships.
  • Ability to work independently, effectively manage time and be self motivated.
  • Strength in the application and use of industry specific software including Microsoft Office.
  • Must have a valid Class 5 driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain trusted, long-term relationships with producers by understanding their operations, goals, challenges, and business objectives.
  • Provide science-based agronomic guidance and develop integrated crop production plans tailored to each farming operation.
  • Deliver agronomic services including farm visits, field inspections, soil sampling, and performance analysis to support decision-making.
  • Collaborate with producers to identify opportunities for productivity, profitability, and sustainability through data-driven insights and precision practices.
  • Stay current on agronomic research and market trends while participating in customer events and demonstrations.
  • Contribute to customer success and business growth by delivering exceptional service and maintaining accurate records.

The Agronomic Solutions Advisor serves as a trusted agronomic partner to producers within an assigned territory. This role provides science-based agronomic guidance, develops whole-farm management strategies, and supports customer success through innovative crop production solutions, emerging technologies, and strong advisory relationships.

The work location for this position is Virden, Manitoba.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
  • Build and maintain trusted, long‑term relationships with producers by understanding their operations, goals, challenges, and business objectives.
  • Provide science‑based agronomic guidance and develop integrated crop production plans that incorporate fertility, seed, crop protection, soil health, and operational considerations tailored to each farming operation.
  • Deliver agronomic services including farm visits, field inspections, crop monitoring, soil sampling, and performance analysis to support informed decision‑making and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with producers to identify opportunities for improved productivity, profitability, and sustainability through data‑driven insights, innovative agronomic practices, regenerative agriculture principles, soil health initiatives, and precision agriculture technologies.
  • Stay current on agronomic research, market trends, emerging technologies, and industry developments while participating in customer events, field demonstrations, and educational initiatives that strengthen relationships and knowledge sharing.
  • Contribute to customer success and business growth by providing exceptional service, maintaining accurate agronomic and customer records, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver a seamless customer experience.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
  • Diploma or Degree related to field of Agronomy/Agriculture or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent written, communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships.
  • Ability to work independently, effectively manage time and be self motivated.
  • Strength in the application and use of industry specific and productivity software (Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, Word, other industry programs)
  • Must have a valid Class 5 driver?s license
