Nelson Motors and Equipment is seeking an Agricultural Equipment Technician to diagnose, service, and maintain agricultural and turf equipment both in the field and in our shop. You will build strong relationships with customers, junior technicians, and location staff while delivering high-quality service that reflects our reliable, customer-focused approach.

The role requires a certified trade in agriculture equipment or related field, 5+ years of experience, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Certified trade in Agriculture Equipment Technician, Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic, or similar.
• Minimum 5 years of diagnostic and service repair experience, John Deere equipment preferred.
• Proficient computer skills; Service Advisor/Service Center experience an asset.
• Physically capable to lift at least 75 lbs repeatedly.
• Valid driver’s license required.

About the Role

As an Agricultural Equipment Technician, you are self ‑ motivated to perform complex diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance on agricultural and turf equipment while supporting an exceptional customer experience. You work effectively both in ‑ field and in ‑ shop, building strong relationships with customers, junior technicians, and other location personnel.

For you to be considered for an interview you have the following qualifications:

• Completed a certified trade such as Agriculture Equipment Technician, Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic or similar. May consider 3rd or 4th level apprentice; John Deere certified a strong asset.


• Minimum 5 years of experience performing diagnostics and service repairs. Experience servicing John Deere equipment preferred.


• Computer skills required, Service Advisor and/or Service Center an asset.


• Physically capable to perform the job, with the ability to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly.


• High School Diploma or equivalent


• Valid driver's license required.
