Job summary

Richardson International’s Richardson Pioneer division invites graduates to join a one-year Agribusiness Assistant program in Magrath, Alberta, with exposure to agronomy, crop inputs, grain handling, sales, and operations. The program includes budgeting and business planning experiences to shape a clear career path in agribusiness.

We seek Agriculture or Business graduates who show initiative, strong customer service, leadership, teamwork and organizational skills.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an Agriculture or Business degree or diploma program and interest in working in the agricultural industry.
  • Interest in a career in Agronomy, Agribusiness, Crop Input Sales or Grain Marketing.
  • Strong sense of initiative.
  • Excellent customer service.
  • Leadership skills.
  • Ability to work as a team.
  • Organized and detail oriented.
  • A valid driver's licence is required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • The Agribusiness Assistant will gain experience in crop inputs, agronomy, grain handling, customer service, grain grading, grain blending, grain marketing, sales, operations management including exposure to budgeting, business planning and scheduling.

This one-year program is designed to help ABAs identify their specific career path in:

  • Operations
Responsibilities

The Agribusiness Assistant will gain experience in crop inputs, agronomy, grain handling, customer service, grain grading, grain blending, grain marketing, sales, operations management including exposure to budgeting, business planning and scheduling.
