Job summary

Cohere is seeking a Software Engineer with Applied AI to join the North product team in the UK. You will own the design, build, and deployment of agentic workflows powered by Large Language Models, delivering real business value in enterprise workflows.

You will work closely with customers to translate complex problems into reliable, observable agent solutions that integrate with tools, APIs, and data sources. This role emphasizes enterprise-grade reliability, safety, and performance.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building production-grade software in Python.
• Experience deploying agentic apps using LLMs and RAG patterns.
• Familiarity with frontier models, vector databases, and orchestration frameworks.
• Robust evaluation frameworks for agent accuracy, safety, and latency.

Responsibilities

• Translate high-value business problems into well-framed agentic workflows with clear criteria.
• Design, build, and deliver LLM-powered agents that reason, plan, and act across tools and data sources.
• Develop features for North across the full product lifecycle from concept to production.
• Own end-to-end use cases, potentially extending into frontend areas as needed.
• Contribute to shared frameworks for consistent delivery across teams.
• Drive clarity in ambiguous situations and improve engineering quality.
• Travel up to 20–40% to work on-site with customers and partners.
