Seed Source in Archerwill, SK is hiring an Ag Tech Specialist to lead installation, calibration, and troubleshooting of precision agriculture hardware and spatial data systems. You will work with agronomy teams and operators to keep equipment running, data organized, and staff trained on the latest farm technology.

You will help ensure accurate data capture and processing, support drone-based mapping, and maintain professional customer interactions across projects.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with precision agriculture hardware and brands listed.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and GPS/telemetry systems.
• Experience translating technical concepts for equipment operators.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, install, calibrate, and troubleshoot precision ag equipment, auto-steer systems, yield monitors, and telemetry across multiple machines.
• Drone operations for rock mapping and weed identification for Seed Source clients.
• Provide operator training and support on in-cab displays, software apps, guidance systems and automated features.

Seed Source is seeking an Ag Tech Specialist to lead the installation, management, and troubleshooting of our precision agriculture hardware and spatial data systems in Archerwill, SK. This role bridges the gap between machinery and field data, ensuring that precision ag hardware runs seamlessly in the cab and raw field data is accurately captured, processed, and utilized. You will work closely with our agronomy team and equipment operators to keep hardware calibrated, data organized, and staff trained on the latest farm technology.

Job Description

• Maintain Install, calibrate, and troubleshoot precision ag equipment, auto-steer systems, yield monitors, and telemetry hardware across tractors, combines, sprayers, and implements.
• Drone operating for Rock mapping and Weed identifying for Seed Source Clients
• Provide operator training & support to equipment operators on how to properly use in-cab displays, software apps, guidance systems, and automated machinery features.
• Maintain professionalism in all client and staff interactions.

What is Needed

• Experience & Skills: Hands-on experience with precision agriculture hardware (e.g, Trimble, John Deere Precision Ag, Raven, Topcon, or similar).
• Technical Aptitude: Strong mechanical, electrical, and computer troubleshooting skills related to agricultural machinery and GPS/telemetry systems.
• Communication: Ability to clearly explain technical software and hardware concepts to equipment operators and team members.
• Organization: Demonstrated ability to gather, clean, record, and structure spatial data efficiently.
• Software Tools: Proficiency with Google Drive, MS Office, WhatsApp
• Licensing: Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
• Education/Background: Education or practical background in Agricultural Technology, Precision Agriculture, Mechanized Agriculture, or a related field. Membership or eligibility with the Saskatchewan Institute of Agrologists (SIA) is considered an asset.
