Job summary

Tigercat Industries in Brantford, Ontario is seeking an Industrial Painter to prepare and maintain paint coatings and spray booth systems. You will sand, prime, and paint machine parts, ensuring coatings withstand rugged forestry environments.

Responsibilities include surface prep, waste handling, and safe operation of spray equipment. This role requires teamwork and adherence to safety protocols in a focused manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship exposure or related painting experience is an asset.
• Able to safely handle hazardous materials and operate in semi-enclosed spaces.
• Experience with various coatings and spray equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain paint coating and spray booth equipment.
• Clean and prep surfaces using sanding, scraping, and grinding.
• Remove grease, dirt, and rust prior to painting.
• Follow safety protocols and wear PPE.
• Operate spray guns and adjust nozzles for proper coating thickness.
• Monitor coating quality and correct defects.
• Sand surfaces between coats for adhesion.
• Disassemble and clean sprayers and power equipment.
• Label and dispose of paint waste properly.
• Operate overhead cranes to move materials to/from paint booths.
• Collaborate with production team to meet goals.
