Job summary

Ontario Public Service in Milton is seeking a Cleaner 2 to keep schools safe and welcoming by performing daily cleaning tasks across classrooms, washrooms, and common areas. The role supports a positive learning environment for students and staff while working afternoon shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience with cleaning and housekeeping in educational settings.
• Knowledge of WHMIS handling of chemicals.
• Familiar with Occupational Health and Safety Act requirements.
• Ability to set priorities and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Dust, vacuum, disinfect washrooms and surfaces in school facilities daily.
• Clear snow and ice from doorways and emergency exits.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment (buffing/shampoo machines).
• Order supplies and help load/unload trucks.
