Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking an Afternoon Shift Plant Operator at our Brantford, ON location. The role involves day-to-day operations for waste receiving, handling, processing, and disposal, with emphasis on safety and SOP adherence.

The position supports loading/unloading of various waste vehicles, sampling for lab analysis, and assisting in paint blending and shipment preparation. Outdoor work and strong teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be safety conscious and detail oriented.
• Ability to work in a team and multi-task in a outdoor environment.
• Experience with waste handling equipment is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Receive all client waste and containers, and manage loading/unloading.
• Take samples from waste vehicles for lab analysis.
• Operate plant machinery and assist with maintenance.
• Prepare shipments of hazardous and non-hazardous waste for transport.
• Document completion status and report incidents to supervisors.
