Job summary

Emterra Group is seeking a Plant Supervisor to lead the afternoon shift (2:30pm–11:00pm) at our Niagara Region facility. You will supervise plant staff, coordinate production, and oversee maintenance and welding activities to ensure safe, efficient operations.

The role requires 3–5 years in plant supervision, strong communication, and a solid background in equipment maintenance and safety. Experience with recycling/material handling facilities is an asset. Valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in a plant supervisory role.
• Experience in equipment maintenance and welding.
• Strong safety mindset and knowledge of OHSA and related regulations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coordinate, and schedule plant employees’ activities.
• Optimize afternoon shift production, clean up, and maintenance tasks.
• Perform maintenance repairs including welding and operating heavy equipment as needed.
• Train and evaluate operators on mobile equipment.
• Prepare internal reports (bale counts, inspections, daily statistics).
• Monitor material flow and minimize equipment downtime.
