Job summary

DECIEM, The Abnormal Beauty Company, is seeking a Machine Operator to join our Tube and Manual lines at the Etobicoke facility. This full-time role involves pre-operational checks, basic machine adjustments, and routine quality controls to ensure safe, efficient production processes.

You will maintain a clean, organized work area, support palletising activities, and complete required paperwork while adhering to daily safety checks and maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Lean, Total Productive Maintenance and Six Sigma principles is an asset.
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Self-starter who thrives on solving complex problems and taking on new challenges.
  • Hands-on, deeply engaged person who is process focused and has a track record of driving repeatable, measurable results.
  • Action-oriented and always looking for ways to challenge the status quo.

Responsibilities

  • Perform pre-operational checks on all machinery and equipment to ensure it is in safe working condition.
  • Perform basic machine adjustments, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of the equipment.
  • Perform routine quality in-process checks for the products on the line as required.
  • Ensure company equipment, material, and the worksite are maintained, kept clean, and stored in a safe manner.
  • Support palletising process including but not limited to creating and implementing labels to master cases and handling the cases to build the pallets.
  • Collect and dispose of scrap, excess materials, and refuse.
  • Organise, maintain an obstructive-free work area and safely operate all machinery/equipment.
  • Complete required paperwork, reporting, and other documentation.
  • Perform and report on daily safety and autonomous maintenance (centerlines, CIL etc.) related checks.
  • Perform quality control, follow reporting and recordkeeping procedures, and report problems to Line Inspectors and Associate Managers
