Job summary

TELUS Health is seeking an Affiliated Clinical Counselor to provide short‑term counseling to TELUS Health EAP clients in the La Pocatière area, in person with the option to add video and phone sessions. You will control your own schedule as an independent contractor and join a nationwide health and wellbeing program.

Candidates hold a master’s or doctoral degree in social work, psychology, counseling or related field, are in good standing with the relevant order in Quebec, and have at least two

• Minimum two years of clinical experience and fluent in French.

Responsibilities

• Provide short-term counseling to TELUS Health EAP clients in the La Pocatière area (in-person with optional video/phone sessions).
• Deliver solution-focused, collaborative interventions and manage varied caseloads.
• Support clients with varied risk levels and coordinate referrals to community resources when needed.
• Maintain professional boundaries and document sessions in accordance with policy.

As an Affiliated Clinical Counselor, you will provide short‑term counseling services — in person in the La Pocatière area — to TELUS Health EAP clients, according to your availability and capacity to take on new clients.

Responsibilities

• Providing counseling services to a diverse range of clients facing personal, professional, or family-related challenges;
• Delivering short‑term interventions using a solution‑focused and collaborative approach;
• Managing a varied caseload and supporting clients with different levels of risk;
• Facilitating referrals to appropriate community resources when necessary.

Desired Profile

We are seeking affiliated professionals practicing as: Social Workers Psychologists Psychoeducators Psychotherapists Sexologists

• Hold a master’s or doctoral degree related to one of the professions listed above;
• Be a member in good standing of your professional order in Quebec (e.g., OTSTCFQ, OPQ, OPSQ, OPPQ, etc.);
• Have a minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience;
• Needs to be fluent in French;
• Possess post‑graduate counseling experience with diverse populations;
• Be able to establish short‑term therapeutic goals using a solution‑focused approach;
• Be comfortable managing high‑risk clinical situations and familiar with available community resources.
