Job summary

TELUS Health is seeking affiliate clinical counselors to provide in-person short-term counseling in Sorel-Tracy to EAP clients. You will work with diverse populations, applying a solution-focused approach and coordinating referrals to community resources.

As an affiliate professional, you will manage varying clinical cases, establish short-term goals, and ensure client safety, while maintaining good standing with a Quebec professional order and meeting licensing requirements.

Qualifications

  • Hold a master’s or doctoral degree related to one of the listed professions (Social workers, Psychologists, Psychoeducators, Psychotherapists, Sexologists).
  • Be a member in good standing of your professional order in Quebec (e.g., OTSTCFQ, OPQ, OPSQ, OPPQ, etc.).
  • Have a minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience.
  • Have post-graduate counseling experience with diverse populations.
  • Be able to establish short-term therapeutic goals using a solution-focused approach.
  • Be comfortable managing high-risk situations and knowledgeable about available community resources.

Responsibilities

  • Provide short-term counseling services in person in Sorel-Tracy to TELUS Health EAP clients.
  • Adapt interventions using a solution-focused and collaborative approach.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As an affiliate clinical counselor, you will provide short-term counseling services — in person in Sorel-Tracy — to TELUS Health EAP clients, based on your availability and capacity to take on new clients. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing counseling services to a diverse range of clients facing personal, professional, or family challenges;
  • Adapting short-term interventions using a solution-focused and collaborative approach;
  • Managing varied clinical cases and supporting clients at different risk levels;
  • Facilitating referrals to appropriate community resources, as needed.
