Job summary

Horizon Aircraft, Inc. in Montreal, with travel to Lindsay, Ontario, seeks an Engineer for Thermal Analysis. You will develop and validate thermal models for next-generation aircraft, predict temperatures, and support certification and production.

You will work with Systems Engineering, Powerplant, Avionics, Structures, and Flight Test to ensure safe, reliable operation across flight envelopes. Hybrid work options available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in aerospace/mechanical thermal engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in thermal analysis, heat transfer, or thermal systems design.
• Experience developing analytical and numerical thermal models.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and system schematics.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain aircraft-level thermal models across the design lifecycle.
• Predict component and system temperatures across all operating conditions.
• Conduct steady-state and transient thermal analyses.
• Evaluate thermal behavior in normal, abnormal, and failure scenarios.
• Support development and optimization of thermal management architectures.
• Define thermal design requirements and environmental limits.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate thermal requirements.
• Develop thermal test plans and verification strategies.
