Job summary

PAL Aerospace is seeking a Project Manager to join the Programs Department in St. John’s, NL. You will lead aircraft modification programs, establishing plans, managing lifecycle activities, and reporting project health to stakeholders.

The role requires a post-secondary degree in business or related field and at least 5 years in project management. PMP is an asset; strong communication and financial governance skills are important. On-site work with growth opportunities and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business or a related subject.
• Minimum of 5 years direct work experience in project management.
• Project management certification (PMP) is an asset.
• Experience working with diverse stakeholders.
• Demonstrated results-oriented approach to projects.
• Proven success in project delivery and execution of PM methods.
• Strong negotiation, diplomatic and conflict-resolution skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication with all levels of staff.
• Strong knowledge of financial management, technology management, and internal controls.
• Ability to create and edit project documents, materials, and presentations.
• Ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with business units and stakeholders.
• Flexibility to adjust to shifting priorities and deadlines.
• High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Establish a project plan for each approved project with goals, risks, milestones and deliverables.
• Manage project activities throughout lifecycle including resources, scheduling and budgeting.
• Report on project health with analytics and suggest optimizations.
• Communicate expectations and project status to stakeholders and senior management.
• Establish and follow a formal change management program.
• Adhere to established PM methodologies.
• Produce regular reports on progress and budget adherence.
• Identify and resolve conflicts within project teams.
• Conduct post-mortems to identify improvements and recommendations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
