Job summary

Centre technologique en aérospatiale seeks a Metrology Project Manager to lead applied metrology research in aeronautics. The role includes planning projects, developing test plans, and managing CMMs with Mitutoyo MCOSMOS, Renishaw REVO, and PolyWorks.

You will collaborate on proposals, reports, and grants, and train staff in a dynamic, bilingual environment in Greater Montreal. Requires MSc/BSc in mechanical or aerospace engineering with strong metrology expertise, 5+ years in metrology, and

Qualifications

MSc or BSc in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with a strong metrology component.
Minimum 5 years' professional experience in metrology.
Experience with Mitutoyo MCOSMOS (minimum 3 years) and GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
3D design skills and modeling experience.
Strong written and verbal communication in French and English.

Responsibilities

Identify, plan and carry out applied metrology research projects including new contact and non-contact inspection technologies.
Draw up test plans, execute and process test data.
Prepare proposals to customers and partners with deadlines and costs.
Operate, program, calibrate and maintain the inspection lab's CMMs and measuring instruments.
Collaborate on grant applications, project reports and technical reports.
Represent the CTA in networking activities related to aeronautics and metrology.
Train new equipment users; provide ongoing training.
