Job summary

Airbus in Mirabel, Québec, invites a seasoned Structural & Mechanical Design Specialist to join the Flight Test team designing test benches and experimental installations on flight test aircraft.

You will collaborate with flight test crews and other engineering disciplines, define requirements, lead design reviews, and train new staff, while ensuring delivery on time and meeting quality standards. English proficiency required; occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of aerospace structural/mechanical design experience.
• Experience with experimental aircraft equipment; A220 experience is an asset.
• Proficient in CATIA; strong problem-solving and design skills.
• Ability to work under deadlines in a multidisciplinary team.
• Proactive, communicative with stakeholders and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with flight test crews and other engineering disciplines to gather design requirements.
• Define experimental equipment on board test aircraft and manage reviews.
• Involve stakeholders throughout the design process to meet needs.
• Train new employees in your area of expertise.
• Coordinate with suppliers to provide parts and systems and support installation.
• Ensure deliverables meet quality and schedule requirements.
