Job summary

De Havilland Aircraft of Canada Limited in Calgary, AB, is seeking a Document Controller for the Final Assembly Line. The role covers document and records management, control of EDMS, and support for audits across sites.

Responsibilities include scanning, digitizing legacy records, training new hires, maintaining procedures, and prioritizing weekly tasks while tracking KPIs to meet departmental service levels.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Post-secondary education preferred.
• 1 to 3 years in document & records management preferred
• Excellent paper and electronic filing skills.
• Proficient in word, excel, outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Familiar with EDMS (Adept, Laserfiche, Kodak).

Responsibilities

• Scan and file daily records.
• Assist in locating legacy records (on & off site).
• Lead continual improvement projects based on data analysis and corrective actions.
• Digitization of legacy records (paper, microfilm, microfiche, aperture cards).
• Backfill Document Control when necessary.
• Help with training new hires on current processes, procedures and EDMS.
• Maintain up to date document control procedures (work instructions and forms).
• Support third party audits, including managing corrective actions for Document Control & Records Management findings.
• Manage day-to-day control of document systems (Electronic Storage, Hardcopy Storage, Printers, Plotters, Mylars distribution and control).
• Maintain weekly priorities, monitor KPI’s for document control to meet service level expectations.
