Job summary

Pratt & Whitney Canada invites motivated students to join the Turbine Aerodynamics & Cooling team at Longueuil for a structured internship in CFD and turbine modelling. You will learn to model turbine components and validate CFD results against engine test data, contributing to improving predictive accuracy.

Eligible candidates are enrolled in a Canadian university, pursuing aerospace or mechanical engineering, and capable of working on-site with strong problem solving and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Eligible to work in Canada.
• Enrolled in a Canadian university for the duration of the internship.
• On-site work in the province of hire.
• Pursuing a graduate degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering, or 3+ years of bachelor’s degree experience.
• Strong problem solving and teamwork skills.
• Good time management and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Understand and model the turbine section of the engine.
• Compare CFD results with engine test data (Thermal paint tests).
• Identify opportunities to improve modelling and methods.
