Qualifications

• Eligible to work in Canada.
• Enrolled in a Canadian university throughout your internship.
• Work on-site in the province where you are hired.
• Completed at least 2 academic years (4 semesters) towards a mechanical or aerospace engineering degree.
• Some knowledge of load, stress, and fatigue life analysis for metallic and composite structures.
• Appreciation of gas turbine static and rotating structures.
• Strong programming skills in Python to automate pre and post-processing of large amounts of data.
• Ability to work with a Global Team.

Responsibilities

• Load, deflection, stress and dynamic analysis using ANSYS WB, NASTRAN, Hypermesh or LS/Dyna.
• Engine and rig test planning including instrumentation requirements, test sequence and post test data reduction and evaluation.
• LCF and HCF lifing of ECN hardware.
• Thermal Analysis, including transient fire attack analysis.
• Full engine system level modeling.
• Stress analysis of composite aerostructures.
• Act as technical focal point in support of engineering work done offshore.
