Job summary

Pratt & Whitney Canada in Longueuil invites students to join as an engineering intern from January 5 to April 23, 2027. Work on aircraft turbine engines, focusing on in-service performance, proactive maintenance, troubleshooting, and developing solutions.

You'll collaborate with engineering teams, interact with engine service centers, use software tools and databases to analyze data, and support presentations and data gathering.

Qualifications

• Eligible to work in Canada.

• Study the impact of technical improvements on in-service engines to plan required parts and maintenance facility capacity.
• Analyze costs and technical causes associated with warranty claims, identify trends, and propose solutions with engineers.
• Contribute to the improvement and standardization of content in maintenance manuals.

Internship dates: January 5th to April 23th , 2027.

Location: The position is based at our Longueuil location; internship from Monday to Friday, with flexible hours and exclusively on-site.

• In addition, the intern will work with multiple software tools and databases to integrate different types of information and parameters, enabling the analysis and identification of proactive trends.
• The intern will also provide administrative support, such as preparing presentations and participating in data gathering.

What will your day-to-day look like?

• Support Customer Engineers in resolving technical issues;
• Analyzing business aviation engine reliability data, including hours and operating cycles, event symptoms and root causes, recurrence trends, and potential solutions;
• Study the impact of technical improvements on in-service engines to observe the long-term effects on the fleet, in order to plan required parts and maintenance facility capacity;
• Analyze costs and technical causes associated with warranty claims, identify trends, and propose technical solutions in collaboration with engineers;
• Contribute to the improvement and standardization of the content in business aircraft engine maintenance manuals.

What do you need to be successful?

• Be eligible to work in Canada.
• Be enrolled in a Canadian university throughout your internship.
• Be able to work on-site in the province where you are hired if applicable.
• Pursue studies in mechanical, electrical, software, physics, industrial, or aerospace engineering.

Although this position is part of a French-speaking work environment, it requires a working knowledge of English to read and understand specialized instructions, plans, drawings and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and sometimes communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.
