Job summary

Magellan Aerospace Haley Division in Haley, Ontario, is seeking a Development Engineering Technician to support new product development, process optimization, and technical troubleshooting within the sand-casting foundry. You will collaborate with engineering, tooling and production to ensure castings meet dimensional, metallurgical, and quality standards.

Qualifications

College diploma in Manufacturing Engineering Technician/Technologist or related field.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in manufacturing, aerospace, or foundry operations.

Responsibilities

Support tooling design and revisions with patternmakers and engineers.
Conduct process trials for new/modified castings, document results and recommendations.
Perform dimensional inspections using CMM, calipers, gauges, etc.
Analyze casting defects and assist root-cause investigations.
Prepare technical reports and corrective actions.
Maintain process documentation and quality records.
Support continuous improvement to improve yield and reduce scrap.
