Job summary

AAA Canada in Mirabel is hiring Structure Assemblers to join its aeronautics teams. You will install, assemble, and align aircraft structural components per client specifications, using jigs, drawings, and technical data.

The role requires 3–5 years of assembly experience, a DEP in aeronautical structure assembly or equivalent, and strong reading plan skills. Proficiency in French is essential; the work is on site in Mirabel, within a dynamic, safety‑conscious environment.

Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years of experience as a structure assembler in aeronautics.
  • DEP in aeronautical structure assembly or equivalent.
  • Strong ability to read plans.
  • Dexterity and precise attention to detail.
  • Fluent in French (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

  • Assemble aircraft structural components and sub-assemblies to project specifications.
  • Use technical data, client instructions, and drawings.
  • Align parts using jigs; position components from drawings.
  • Read plans and manufacturing files to adapt to large or small components.
  • Operate manual or automated tools according to tasks.
  • Install fasteners and ensure correct products and processes.
  • Verify assemblies against manufacturing files and standards.
  • Adhere to quality, safety, and environmental policies.
  • Report anomalies or irregularities.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for structural installation, assembly, and system sub-assemblies, parts, and components of aircraft within a project and/or assigned area.
  • Use technical data and instructions provided by the client or aircraft manufacturer.
  • Use jigs and position components from PVA, engineering department drawings, or any other material provided by the methods department.
  • Read and interpret plans or manufacturing files.
  • Adapt work to different types of assembly: large / small components.
  • Adjust and use manual or automated machines and tools according to the work to be done.
  • Assemble metal and/or composite parts according to technical specifications provided by the client:
  • Install necessary fasteners; drill holes; ensure the correct products are used for assembly (bolts, hardened or mechanical rivets, screws or accessories to attach, support, or suspend components and sub-assemblies).
  • Ensure the use of correct products for assembly (sealants, bonding, corrosion, paint)
  • Ensure the conformity of assemblies against the manufacturing file.
  • Inspect and verify installed units, parts, and equipment to ensure their adequacy, performance, and compliance with standards defined in technical documentation.
  • Adhere to quality standards and production rates.
  • Adhere to health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Report any anomaly or irregularity.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years of experience as a Structure Assembler in the aeronautics field.
  • You have at least a DEP in aeronautical structure assembly or equivalent.
  • You have excellent knowledge of reading plans.
  • You demonstrate dexterity.
  • You have quick wit and a developed attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written French.
