Job description

YOUR ROLE

As the full-time Merchandising Team Leader, you are the Store Team Leader's key partner in developing and executing the store's Merchandising strategy. You are passionate about training and coaching your team to become excellent merchants who consistently uphold AEO brand Visual standards. Your leadership ensures flawless floorset execution, outstanding merchandising, and marketing standards. You also maintain a guest-ready store through effective replenishment, embodying our company values and bringing your authentic self to work every day.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Driving sales: As a Leader on Duty (LOD), you excel at increasing sales by maximizing Fitting Room and Salesfloor productivity and fostering guest loyalty through exceptional guest experiences. You analyze reports and trends to inform strategic decisions and assist in developing business plans to meet KPIs.
  • Merchandising innovation: You coach your team to deliver an exceptional guest experience by maintaining high visual standards. You oversee daily merchandising, sell-through, and replenishment activities, always seeking new merchandising opportunities and ready to act on them.
  • People leadership: You motivate and inspire your team through AEO's core values, serve as a role model, and hold your team accountable for excellent customer service on the Salesfloor and in the Fitting Room.
  • Talent development: You prioritize recruiting and hiring talented individuals, and invest in training and developing your team to ensure they provide outstanding service.
  • Teamwork and engagement: You believe in continuous performance feedback, regular touchbases, development plans, and performance reviews. You celebrate team successes to boost engagement.
  • Operational excellence: You support daily operational procedures, maintain visual standards across the store, and ensure Fitting Rooms are always guest-ready and aligned with AEO Brand Standards.
  • Integrity: You uphold store safety, asset protection, and adhere to all policies and procedures, always doing the right thing.
