These considerations include capital investment needs, climate resilience, operations and maintenance strategies, strategic and operational risks, disaster response, regulatory compliance, performance management, business process improvement, data management, and strategic alignment.

Job Requirements

  1. A strategic and systems thinking mindset grounded in a technical understanding of community services and infrastructure.
  2. Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills, with a proven ability to successfully problem-solve, integrate the big picture, and deliver operational improvements to clients.
  3. Ability to market to and manage clients.
  4. A diploma or undergraduate degree in engineering, planning, business management, or a related discipline from an accredited post-secondary institution.
  5. 10+ years of experience in advisory services, infrastructure decision-making, investment planning, and/or business process improvement.
  6. Minimum of 5 years of advisory or multi-disciplinary project management.
  7. Experience in project management related to infrastructure asset management, climate adaptation planning, community/infrastructure risk management, or similar.
  8. Experience working with diverse teams, including engineers, planners, operations and maintenance staff, managers, and senior leadership.
  9. Understanding and experience with asset management, climate resiliency, and engagement and facilitation practices and standards would be an asset.
  10. Possession of market intelligence and a demonstrated network of clients in the lower mainland would be an asset.
  11. Certifications in engagement, asset management, sustainability, or change management would be an asset.
  12. Experience with enterprise asset management software would be an asset.
  13. Data analysis and visualization skills would be an asset.
