Job summary

Desjardins Group is seeking a Software Lifecycle Management Advisor to optimize the software lifecycle through governance, analytics, and process improvements. You will work with multiple partners in a complex technology environment to enhance software investments for thousands of users.

The role requires hands-on governance of software version compliance, KPI tracking, and data-driven rationalization of the application portfolio, with a strong emphasis on continuous improvement and

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Minimum 4 years in IT Asset Management (ITAM) and/or Software Lifecycle Management (SLM).
  • Experience in IT process governance.
  • Experience with operational dashboards and KPIs.
  • French language proficiency required.
  • Familiarity with desktop and virtual environments.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and analyze issues, challenges, needs, problems and corrective actions for your sector to establish desired outcomes
  • Follow up as needed to solve more complex or unusual problems; develop objectives, solutions and action plans; help implement the plans
  • Analyze information, conduct studies, make recommendations and draft reports
  • Oversee and improve the software version compliance process and coordinate corrective actions as needed
  • Define, track and analyze KPIs related to compliance, software removals and software usage
  • Monitor and analyze Power BI dashboards to identify discrepancies and recommend appropriate actions
  • Manage software removal activities, including analysis, prioritization, request tracking and process automation
  • Oversee data governance for software usage (metering), including identifying eligible software, monitoring collected data and ensuring information quality
  • Conduct analyses to support rationalization of the application portfolio and to optimize software licensing costs
  • Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement and automating software lifecycle management processes

Job description

Do you like figuring out how things work, finding ways to improve them and coming up with concrete ways to assess the results of your actions? As a Software Lifecycle Management Advisor, you’ll play a strategic role in managing the software lifecycle. Through software version compliance, software usage data analysis, software asset rationalization and continuous process improvement, you’ll help optimize the technological experience of thousands of users while maximizing the value of the organization’s software investments. A strong focus on continuous improvement, governance and results, along with the ability to work effectively with multiple partners in a complex technology environment, will be key to succeeding in this role.

More specifically, you will be required to:

What you bring to the table
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • A minimum of four years of relevant experience in IT Asset Management (ITAM) and/or Software Lifecycle Management (SLM)
  • Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
  • Experience working in project mode and/or process optimization
  • Experience in IT process governance
  • Experience working with operational dashboards and KPIs
  • Experience in data analysis
  • Strong analytical, coordination and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of French is required
  • Knowledge of digital workplace environments, including desktop and virtual environments
  • Knowledge of SCCM/MECM, Juriba, Power BI and Jira
