The Opportunity JOB DESCRIPTION
Are you passionate about the safety and security of Canadian Natural’s personnel and assets? Are you a strong leader, demonstrated through your ability to motivate teams and people to successful outcomes? We are hiring a Security Advisor.
Canadian Natural operates a professional corporate security program that is enterprise wide. As a Security Advisor, reporting to the Manager of Corporate Security, you will analyze security incidents and crime trends and provide your professional advice on crime prevention and physical security planning. You will be expected to complete complex internal investigations and provide sound recommendations. You will need to have the ability to deploy to wherever Canadian Natural operates, in Canada, the UK, and Cote d’Ivoire. You will provide security project management services to Canadian Natural business units to assist with the continuous improvement of the enterprise security programs and services.
Job location: Calgary, Alberta
Shift schedule: 5 x 2, Monday – Friday, 8 hours/day

Key Accountabilities
Daily review and triage of security incidents as reported
Conduct follow up inquiries and investigations into reported incidents
Liaise and provide security advice to field-based leadership and business units
Maintain a high proficiency in physical security best practices
Develop and present security guidance
What You Bring To The Role
Post-secondary education with 10 + years of Security/Law Enforcement experience
Leadership and supervisory experience
Proven ability to liaise with Law Enforcement and government agencies
Must possess a valid Alberta’s Driver’s license
Proficient with Microsoft Office and a working knowledge of electronic file management systems
Should have the ability to work internationally on short term deployments
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in French is beneficial
