Job summary

Enbridge is seeking an Advisor Renewable Power Origination to analyze data, conduct research, perform financial modeling and manage transactions across wind and solar projects. You will lead contracting for PPAs, RECs, and tax incentives, collaborating with a team across the U.S. and Canada.

Required are a Bachelor's degree and 4+ years in business development or sales in clean energy, plus strong communication and MS Office skills. Occasional travel and a hybrid work model may apply.

Qualifications

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, energy, sustainability, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in a business development or sales role in wind, solar, or broader clean energy industry (7+ years if no degree).
  • Demonstrates deep curiosity for renewable energy and energy markets.
  • Effective communication abilities and a history of partnering with internal/external clients.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat Pro.

Responsibilities

  • Improve Enbridge’s market competitiveness in contracting wind/solar projects by developing bilateral market collateral and leading proposals for competitive RFPs.
  • Interpret RFP requirements, assess Enbridge’s competitive viability, and communicate key needs to Enbridge Power leadership.
  • Coordinate weekly briefings on new and pending RFPs and bilateral solicitation opportunities.
  • Conduct regular proposal progress meetings and follow up with team members across Enbridge Power to ensure timely completion.
  • Lead market research to identify offtake potential for new project developments.

As an Advisor Renewable Power Origination, you'll analyze data, conduct research, perform financial modeling, and manage transactions.

In this role, you'll work on contracting Power Purchase agreements (PPA), Renewable energy credits (REC), and tax credits, collaborating with a team across the U.S. and Canada. This role offers opportunities to learn from experts about renewable origination and gain valuable knowledge and experience in the energy market.

What You Will Do
  • Improve Enbridge’s market competitiveness in contracting its wind and solar projects by developing bilateral market collateral and leading the preparation of proposals for competitive Request for Proposals (RFPs).
  • Interpret RFP requirements, assess Enbridge’s competitive viability, and efficiently communicate key needs and deadlines to Enbridge’s Power leadership team.
  • Coordinate weekly briefings on new and pending RFPs and bilateral solicitation opportunities.
  • Conduct regular proposal progress status meetings and follow up with team members across the Enbridge Power business to ensure timely completion.
  • Lead market research to identify prospective offtake for new project developments.
Who You Are
  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, energy, sustainability, or a related field.
  • 4 or more years of experience in a business development or sales role in the wind, solar, or broader clean energy industry. For candidates who do not possess a university degree, an additional 3-years experience is required (total 7+ years).
  • Display a deep intellectual curiosity for renewable energy and energy markets.
  • Effective communication abilities and a successful history of partnering with internal and external clients.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
Physical Requirements

Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.

Mental Requirements

(Both Field & Office) include but are not limited to: Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.

Working Conditions
  • Office environment.

Occasional travel (<5%) with the ability to travel within the U.S. and Canada.

Salary
  • Ranges from $90,000 – $115,000 USD for U.S. locations based upon candidate’s experience, skills, and internal equity.
  • Ranges from $90,000 – $115,000 CAD for Canadian locations (except Alberta) based upon candidate’s experience, skills, and internal equity.
  • Applicable compensation policies and guidelines apply to internal candidates.
