Reporting to the Senior Manager, Strategic Sourcing, the Advisor, Procurement will be part of the procurement team and will take part in corporate wide sourcing strategies to achieve and exceed the financial groups business objectives and savings goals. You'll experience a wide range of opportunities to learn and develop your career, while supporting high value transformational projects that provide value to our stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a high volume of purchase order requests or software and hardware assets
  • Support in the development of contract renewal strategies
  • Support asset owners with new IT license acquisitions
  • Support the analysis of different proposals and make recommendations
  • Obtain the various required approvals
  • Resolve problems, disputes or risk situations related to the contract
  • Keep the contract management register up to date (Service Now)
  • Provide support to other Bank stakeholders in understanding and complying with the terms of the contract
  • Provide advisory support in the development of contractual agreements or calls for tenders

Qualifications

  • University Degree in business administration or relevant field
  • Minimum 2 years of progressive experience in procurement in indirect categories such as Finance, HR, IT, Corporate Services and Marketing.
  • Experience leading and inspiring teams where achieving great outcomes are valued and rewarded.

Specific Skills

  • Must have the ability to explain business value propositions
  • Able to work creatively and collaboratively with stakeholders and suppliers to identify innovative solutions. As various assignments are carried out with considerable independence, the incumbent is expected to take initiative in planning and seeking out information.

  • Good communication skills and business relationship management.
  • Experience in financial industry (asset).
  • Professional working proficiency in French and English languages required as position involves frequent written and oral communication on complex matters with internal and external parties in both languages.
