Job summary

MNP is seeking an Advisor, Learning & Development to support the National Human Capital team in Calgary. You will drive the learning agenda, oversee LMS capabilities and learner support, and pilot AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency and reporting.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in L&D or HR ops, post-secondary education in related fields, and comfort working with multi-stakeholder environments. English is required; French is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in HR, adult education or related field.
  • Certifications in L&D, project management or change management are assets (CTDP, CTP, ATD APTD).
  • 4+ years of experience in L&D or HR operations with learning operations and LMS focus.
  • Experience supporting learning programs in complex multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Openness to piloting emerging AI-enabled tools for learning support and reporting.
  • Proficiency in English; French is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Support L&D operations, coordinating events, learner support, enrolment and LMS administration.
  • Provide problem-solving and stakeholder management support to team members.
  • Serve as escalation point for learner inquiries, registrations and access issues.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve consistency.
  • Pilot AI tools to automate tasks and enhance reporting.
  • Monitor learning-related expenses and maintain LMS data integrity.
  • Coordinate content lifecycle, course reviews, retirement and archiving.
  • Administer learner surveys and course evaluations for impact analysis.
  • Produce operational learning reports for participation, completion and compliance.
  • Supply learner data and insights to governance discussions and improvement efforts.

Responsibilities
  • Support L&D operational excellence, including the planning and coordination of events, learner support, enrolment, Learning Management System (LMS) administration and operational reporting to deliver a high-quality learner experience
  • Guide and support team members in problem-solving, planning and stakeholder management
  • Serve as the escalation point for learner inquiries, registration issues and access questions while supporting consistent learner support, communications and registration processes
  • Identify and recommend opportunities to streamline processes and improve consistency
  • Pilot responsible artificial intelligence (AI) tools to improve learner support, automate routine tasks and enhance operational reporting
  • Track and monitor learning and event-related expenses to support budget accuracy and accountability
  • Oversee the accuracy and integrity of LMS records, including course setup, session management, e-learning stability, completion tracking and system integrations
  • Coordinate content lifecycle processes, including review cadences, retirement and archiving decisions, learner communications and LMS workflow execution
  • Administer learner surveys and course evaluations, ensuring data integrity and readiness for measurement, reporting and learning impact analysis
  • Prepare and maintain operational learning reports related to participation, completion, compliance and LMS activity, ensuring accuracy, quality and readiness for leadership review
  • Provide operational insights, learner data and capacity metrics to support L&D intake, prioritization, governance discussions and continuous improvement decisions
Skills and Experience
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Adult Education, Organizational Development, BusinessAdministrationor a related field
  • Professional certifications in L&D, project management or change management are considered an asset, including Certified Training and Development Professional (CTDP), Certified Training Practitioner (CTP) or Association for Talent Development Associate Professional in Talent Development (ATD APTD)
  • 4+ years of experience in L&D, Human Resources operations or education services, with a focus on learning operations, learner support, LMS administration and operational reporting
  • Experience supporting learning programs and events within complex, multi-stakeholder environments
  • Experience supporting learning programs tied to professional accreditation, compliance or regulated environments considered an asset
  • Knowledge of content lifecycle processes, including course reviews, retirement and archiving activities, learner communications and record retention
  • Openness to piloting emerging AI-enabled tools that improve learner support, operational reporting and process efficiency
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives and balance competing priorities
  • Experience partnering with and advising senior stakeholders
  • Written and verbal English language skills, with French considered an asset
