Job summary

Paladin Airport Security Services is seeking an Advisor, Labour Relations to support employees and managers across Kelowna (YLW), Victoria (YYJ), and Kamloops (YKA) within a multi-union Pacific Region. You will handle disciplinary matters, interpret collective agreements, and participate in investigations and bargaining strategies.

The role requires 3+ years in labour relations, strong communication and leadership skills, and the ability to travel regionally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in labour relations, human resources, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in labour relations or related field.
• Experience in collective bargaining, grievance procedures, and dispute resolution is asset.
• Knowledge of the Canada Labour Code, regulations and employment law is asset.
• Demonstrated strength in communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
• Proven leadership and people management capabilities.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Willingness and ability to travel to other airports within the region as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance and support to managers on disciplinary matters, interpretation and application of collective agreements, grievance management, dispute resolution, and arbitration preparation across the Pacific Region.
• Communicate effectively with employees and management to identify issues, mitigate risk, and resolve workplace conflicts.
• Conduct investigations in response to employee complaints, policy violations, and recommend appropriate resolutions.
• Build and maintain collaborative relationships with cross-functional departments to support operational and organizational objectives across the Pacific Region.
• Act as a subject matter expert on the collective agreement interpretation, legislative compliance and labour relations best practices, and support the organization's collective bargaining strategy.
• Deliver coaching and training programs on collective agreements, employee relations issues such as respectful workplace, conflict management, investigations and other topics as needed.
• Collaborate with People & Culture team on key issues, special projects and/or initiatives, as needed.
• Participate in the development and implementation of HR strategies that align with the organization’s goals and objectives.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

We are currently recruiting an Advisor, Labour Relations based out of Kelowna (YLW), Victoria (YYJ), or Kamloops (YKA).

The Advisor, Labour Relations isa key differentiator for PASS. The position is accountable for ensuring employees are supported in a manner consistent with best practices and the policies and proceduresestablishedby PASS's Corporate People & Culture Department. In addition to providing day-to-day labour relations support and ensuring compliance with multiple collective agreements within a complex multi-union environment across the Pacific region, the Advisor, Labour Relations is also responsible for the following functions:

• Ability toacquireTransportation Security Clearance (TSC) and eligibility for Federal Security Clearance.
• Willingness and ability to travel to other airports within the region asrequired.
