Advanced Practice Nurse (Nurse-Anesthetist), Ft Campbell, KY

Responsibilities

MAJOR DUTIES

  • Serve as a Nurse Anesthetist for a broad range of surgeries, including complex procedures at Blanchfield Army Community Hospital (BACH).
  • Participate in reviewing and improving patient care processes related to anesthesia.
  • Provide education and share expertise with healthcare professionals and paraprofessionals.
  • Maintain appropriate clinical privileges and adhere to regulatory and ethical standards.
  • Administer anesthesia, monitor patients, and manage emergency situations across various surgical disciplines.
  • Supervise and instruct students and peers in anesthesia practices.
  • Perform administrative duties such as case assignment, equipment maintenance, and participation in hospital committees.
Qualifications

Who May Apply: US Citizens

Applicants must meet education and experience requirements, including a graduate degree from an accredited nursing program in Anesthesia, current licensure, and relevant professional experience. Foreign degrees require certification from the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools. Experience must include administering and monitoring anesthesia, with at least one year of professional nursing experience at the GS-12 level or equivalent.
