Job summary

Talcura Technologies Inc. in Ontario seeks an experienced Social Worker to provide psychosocial services within Odette’s Patient & Family Support Program, focusing on breast cancer care at an advanced level of practice in an interprofessional team.

You will complete psychosocial assessments, lead or participate in Advance Care Planning discussions, offer counselling, conduct group work, coordinate resources, collaborate with colleagues, and contribute to teaching, research, and ongoing

Qualifications

• Masters in Social Work required and current OCSWSSW registration.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in healthcare settings preferred.
• Demonstrated Psychosocial Oncology knowledge preferred.
• Psychosocial provision of care to those with breast cancer preferred.
• Proven excellent assessment, counselling and problem solving skills essential.
• Superior communication, negotiation, mediation and collaborative interprofessional team skills required.
• Well-established knowledge of relevant health care system processes and community resources required.
• Superior time management, organization, and prioritization skills in addressing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven commitment to person and family-centred care essential.
• Demonstrated strong commitment to academic practice required; student education required.
