Job summary

Magna, Cosma International, seeks a Process Engineer (AME) to optimize manufacturing processes, analyze tools, assembly methods, and product designs for quality improvements. You will apply GD&T knowledge and engage as a customer-facing liaison when required.

The role requires 3+ years in automotive manufacturing, strong problem-solving, data-driven decisions, and the ability to travel up to 25%. Proficiency with MS Office and CAD tools (NX, Catia, SolidWorks) is expected.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education or equivalent with shopfloor automotive manufacturing experience.
  • Bachelor’s in Manufacturing Engineering preferred.
  • 3+ years in manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Knowledge of GD&T, process concepts, joining technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Provides instructions and insights on semi-complex materials and provides support.
  • Saves client correspondence and tracks data per CAT guidelines.
  • Attains to Scope of Work and delivery dates; supports weekly internal status meetings.
  • Troubleshoots process issues, conducts root cause analysis, and proposes effective solutions.
  • Uses negotiation and influencing skills to handle difficult situations; refers unique problems to appropriate persons.
  • Works with other departments to ensure timely project completion and plans engineering projects.

The Process Engineer demonstrates knowledge of various process assembly joining technologies, methods, and standard procedures, with an extensive knowledge of GD&T, and quality concerns for product and processes.
