Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology from a recognized post-secondary institute.
• Unrestricted General MLT practice permit with the CMLTA.
• Recent clinical laboratory experience in Microbiology, Transfusion Medicine, Chemistry, Hematology, or Anatomical Pathology.
• Experience delivering adult education and/or curriculum design.
• Experience with course set up and delivery using a learning management system (LMS) is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present learning outcomes and activities in classroom, laboratory and industry settings.
• Participate in curriculum development, program reviews and course reviews.
• Facilitate the learning process using instructional strategies for effective delivery.
• Manage instructional delivery and create a safe, productive learning environment.
• Create assessment tools to evaluate progress and maintain records.
• Provide ongoing coaching and tutoring to maximize student success.
• Utilize educational technology for presentations, communications and program promotions.
• Maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues and industry partners.
• Incorporate regular student feedback to improve instruction.
• Pursue ongoing professional development and improvement.
