ADMN O 15R - French Bilingual Registry Technician - (119883)

Join our established and collaborative Bilingual and Deputy District Registrar (DDR) Teams, providing essential court administration services in both French and English. The Bilingual Team includes seven professionals across three roles, while the DDR Team has nine members with quasi-judicial responsibilities, working closely with judiciary, court clerks, and sheriffs to process civil and family court matters.

The Role: As a Bilingual Deputy District Registrar, support both English and French-speaking litigants navigating the divorce process in Supreme Court. This role promotes equitable access to justice by guiding individuals through proper filing procedures, especially for those exercising their right to services in French.

Qualifications:

  • Secondary school graduation or equivalent (e.g., GED)
  • 2 years recent experience in a legal environment, or 1 year in Court Administration
  • Computer proficiency (Windows, MS Word, Excel)
  • Ability to qualify as Deputy District Registrar within 6 months
  • Typing speed of 40 wpm
  • Fluent in speaking, writing, and reading French and English

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Signing authority as Deputy District Registrar
  • Experience in Court Administration and Civil Programs
  • Experience with Civil Electronic Information System (CEIS)

Additional Requirements:

  • Willingness to complete relevant training
  • Ability to travel, including adverse weather, with reliable transportation
  • Flexibility for varied hours and short-notice overtime
  • Work in other areas of Court Services Branch if needed
  • Pass security screening
