Job summary

MacEwan University is seeking a Specialist, Admission Evaluation to support the Office of the University Registrar. The role focuses on evaluating domestic and international credentials, applying admission criteria, and ensuring decisions comply with policies and privacy standards.

The incumbent will authenticate transcripts, generate admission letters, guide applicants and staff, and maintain accurate data in the student information system to enable a smooth enrolment process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Education, Administration, or related field
• Minimum 2 years in admissions, enrolment management, credential evaluation, or related administrative role
• Experience evaluating Canadian or international education for admission eligibility and transfer credit is an asset
• Experience with PeopleSoft - Campus Solutions is an asset
• Second language ability is an asset
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered

Responsibilities

• Evaluate domestic and international credentials to determine admissibility
• Apply general and program-specific admission requirements
• Authenticate transcripts and other documents
• Generate admission letters and communicate decisions clearly
• Provide guidance on admission and transfer credit policies to applicants and stakeholders
• Update the student information system with decisions and statuses
• Maintain application statuses and articulation rules in the SIS
