Job summary

MacEwan University is seeking a Specialist, Admission Evaluation for a 12-month term. The role supports the student lifecycle by managing admissions for domestic, international, and transfer applicants with accuracy and transparency.

The Specialist will interpret credential documents, apply admission criteria, and communicate decisions to applicants, faculty, and staff. This is a full-time replacement term within the Office of the University Registrar.

Qualifications

• Customer-service oriented with focus on service excellence.
• Ability to interpret Canadian and international education systems for admission/transfer decisions.
• Familiarity with policies and procedures and with transfer credit practices.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate domestic and international credentials for admissibility and transfer credit.
• Apply general and program-specific admission requirements.
• Authenticate transcripts, English proficiency, and other documents.
• Generate admission letters and communicate statuses to applicants.
• Provide guidance on admission policies, transfer credits, and program requirements.
• Update the student information system with decisions and statuses.
• Maintain articulation rules in the student information system.
