Alberta Health Services in Edmonton is seeking an Administrative Support V to join the Medicine Program at the University of Alberta Hospital. We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Administrative Support V to join the Medicine Program at the University of Alberta Hospital (UAH). This position provides administrative and operational support to the Patient Care Manager and Unit Managers within a large, complex acute-care program. The successful candidate will coordinate program priorities, manage confidential information, prepare reports, support staffing and recruitment, and assist with daily operations. The ideal candidate can anticipate needs, prioritize competing demands, work independently, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced hospital environment.
As an Administrative Support V, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.
Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. certificate in office or business administration).
Diploma or certificate in Business Administration, Office Administration, Health Administration, or a related field. 3-5 years of progressively responsible administrative experience supporting leaders in a complex environment. Advanced proficiency in SharePoint and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint. Experience creating reports, dashboards, and data summaries. Experience coordinating multiple priorities and managing competing deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion. Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
Experience working within AHS or a healthcare environment. Experience using Connect Care reporting tools. Experience with staffing and scheduling software such as WFM or ESP. Experience supporting recruitment and onboarding activities. Experience planning large-scale meetings, education sessions, or events. Experience using graphic design software such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Publisher, or similar applications. Experience with supply ordering and management practices.
