Our Recreation Department is looking for a Casual Administrative Assistant III to join the team.
This position reports to the CKC Finance Manager and workscollaboratively to provide administrative support directly related to thefinancial management of Recreation which spans 10+ municipally operatedfacilities and includes the functions of Administration, Aquatics, PoolOperations, Certified Fitness Programs, Guest Services, Operations Logistics& Custodial, and Ice Operations.
You address customer service requests and are meticulous inusing the Recreation Management System (RMS), Enterprise Resource Planning(ERP) and timekeeping systems to create transaction records for a varietyofprograms and services. You will be responsible for performing a widerange of deadline-driven administrative, customer service, and financial dutiesin a dynamic, fast-paced, and challenging work environment. You are expected toprovide a high degree of service excellence to internal and external customers,vendors, service providers, members, and guests while maintaining a high degreeof accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism.
Duties include but are not limited to:
The successful applicant will have a diploma in BusinessAdministration, (or related field) with 1 to 2 years directly related workexperience. Alternatively, a candidate who has completed a Basic Bookkeepingcourse and has 5 or more years of directly related experience could beconsidered. A strong background in data entry and customer service,previous experience with systems used for recreation management, financialprocessing, and timekeeping, and a knowledge of facility programs, services, businessprocesses and City policies would be an asset.

Primarily on a call-in basis for weekday coverage, with thespecific schedule being determined by theimmediate supervisor.Aspart of a busy recreational facility, flexibility for occasional support onweekends for special events is required.
Starting Salary $30.63 per hour as per theOut-of-Scope Agreement.
