Overview

Are you an Administrative Assistant with some Accounting and Payroll background who wants to make a difference?

Staffmax Staffing and Recruiting is currently assisting our very well-known client’s subsidiary non-profit community support organization.

Your role as Administrative Assistant with some Accounting and Payroll is to accept and grow the non-profit, using the latest Administrative techniques and software, ensuring Covid-19 protocols are in place with staff, Payworks Payroll and invoicing, processing payments etc.

You will have a strong HR and Management presence to help you take on this challenge and since everyone is cross trained, support is available!

Take them to the next level, as they have staff in-house and on foot – they need you the Administrative professional to take them from here to the sky!

Responsibilities
  • Room booking and taking minutes, organizing documents, and filing systems
  • Working with internal staff, management and external stakeholders with admin and answering questions in a timely manner
  • Maintaining employee payroll (less than 75 people) in an accurate and efficient manner
  • Organize records, employee database and on-off boarding documents
  • Day to day financial tasks include (but not limited to): recording invoices, payments, bank deposits etc.
  • Full payroll cycle is a definite asset, Payworks is a definite asset
Must Haves to Succeed
  • 2 years minimum in a direct Administrative Assistant capacity
  • 2 years of office financial accounting (AR / AP)
  • 1 year of payroll experience (preference to those with Payworks) including holiday pay and taxes
  • Strong MS Office skills
  • Past experience with Board Members, managers and leadership teams
  • Might have occasional evening work, meetings to attend
  • Diversity and inclusion training a strong asset – willing to talk courses
