Job summary

Miller Thomson LLP in Toronto is seeking an Administrative Assistant to provide administrative support to stakeholders across multiple business services areas. The role requires a resourceful, reliable, and business-minded assistant who can manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.

The ideal candidate will be bilingual (French and English), hold a Community College Diploma or University degree, and have at least two years of administrative experience in a legal or professional

  • Fluency in both English and French (written and verbal).
  • Community College Diploma, University Degree, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two years of administrative experience in a legal or professional services environment.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare communications, announcements, reference materials, and other documentation as required.
  • Prioritize workflow to ensure completion of accurate work within established timelines.
  • Managing administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments and coordinating meetings, maintaining reports and databases, etc.
  • Supporting departmental projects and initiatives.
  • Working with other internal departments/services to meet client needs.

We are seeking an Administrative Assistant to join the team in our Toronto Office!

This is an exciting opportunity for a personable and self‑motivated individual to build a career while enhancing skills and developing expertise. In this role, the incumbent will be responsible for providing administrative support to stakeholders across multiple business services areas. This position will require a resourceful, reliable and business‑minded assistant, who demonstrates a team approach, and the ability to take direction, manages multiple tasks and adapts to changing priorities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare communications, announcements, reference materials, and other documentation as required.
  • Prioritizing workflow to ensure completion of accurate work within established timelines.
  • Managing administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments and coordinating meetings, maintaining reports and databases, etc.
  • Supporting departmental projects and initiatives.
  • Working with other internal departments/services to meet client needs.
  • Organizing files, both electronic and hard copy, as required.
  • Other duties, as required.
What You'll Bring:
  • Fluency in both French and English (written and verbal) is required.
  • Community College Diploma, University Degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of administrative experience in a legal or professional services environment.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to exercise initiative and sound judgment.

Compensation:

We offer a market‑leading total rewards package with the expected range of the annual salary to be between $50,169 - $62,711.

The final salary is influenced by the location of the incumbent and may fluctuate based on the qualifications, skills, and market considerations, ensuring alignment with internal and external pay equity standards.
