As the Ministry of Forestry and Parks we are responsible for fostering Alberta’s environmentally responsible forest management practices, including management of wildfires. We preserve our provincial parks for the recreation and enjoyment of Albertans. As well as enabling access to public lands for recreational and commercial purposes while prioritizing conservation. Forestry and Parks also manage public lands and balances sustainable rangelands and grazing leases for Alberta producers.

Reporting directly to the Finance and Administration Unit Lead, the Administrative Team Lead is responsible for manpower administration, business support services, and staff supervision across regional program areas. This role plays a critical part in supporting workforce planning, payroll administration, records management, revenue processes, and operational service delivery while fostering a high-performing and customer-focused team environment. Success in this position requires strong leadership, sound judgment, and the ability to balance multiple priorities in a dynamic operational setting.

Education and Experience:
High school diploma supplemented by four years of progressively responsible experience in finance, human resources, or a related field.
Equivalency:
Directly related experience or education considered on the basis of:
one year of experience for one year of education or
one year of education for one year of experience.
Assets:
This temporary position is expected to end on June 30, 2027. The standard work schedule is 7.25 hours per day (36.25 hours per week). Overtime and travel may be required due to operational wildfire response needs.
