Job summary

The Division of General Surgery at Royal Columbian Hospital seeks acute care general surgeons to join our team. Successful candidates will be committed to patient care, resident, fellow and medical student education and scholarly activity that advances clinical medicine.

A locum opportunity for one week of ACS service is available prior to the application deadline. There are 10 general surgeons with subspecialties in hepatobiliary, surgical oncology, colorectal, breast and trauma/acute care.

Qualifications

• Excellent clinical and surgical skills with interest in medical education, quality improvement and clinical research.
• Fellowship in Trauma and/or Acute Care Surgery desirable.
• Must hold CMPA, FRCSC and CSPBC credentials.

Responsibilities

• Commit to patient care and education of residents, fellows and medical students.
• Promote acute surgical care within Royal Columbian Hospital and Fraser Health Authority.
• Engage in scholarly activity and participate in UBC medical education program.
