Job summary

Fraser Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in an acute medical unit in British Columbia, Canada. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care within established standards and Fraser Health values.

Working with a collaborative interprofessional team, you will document care, participate in discharge planning, and engage patients and families through teaching and support.

Qualifications

• Must be a registered nurse with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
• Ability to perform initial and ongoing patient assessments with clinical reasoning and documentation.
• Familiarity with interprofessional care teams and patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and collect information to develop and evaluate nursing care plans.
• Collaborate with patients and families to implement care plans and advocate for patient rights.
• Coordinate and prioritize nursing care; delegate tasks to support staff as needed.
• Document assessments, interventions, outcomes and referrals per Fraser Health procedures.
