Job summary

Fraser Health Authority is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in an acute medical unit in British Columbia. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with an interprofessional team.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current BCCNM registration.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
• Post-graduate coursework or equivalent experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and collect data to determine nursing diagnosis and care needs.
• Collaborate with patients and families to develop and modify the care plan.
• Coordinate nursing care, prioritize tasks, and refer to interprofessional team as needed.
• Educate patients and families on health maintenance and discharge plans.
• Document assessments, interventions and outcomes per Fraser Health standards.
• Participate in committees, research and quality improvement activities.
