Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved Respiratory Therapy program.
• Two years' recent related clinical experience in acute care preferred.
• CBRC credentialing exam completed and CSRT membership eligible.
• CPR Level C or higher and NRP certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients, create care plans, educate families, and coordinate with physicians.
• Perform pulmonary function tests, spirometry, peak flow and related studies.
• Monitor equipment, perform quality control, and advise on maintenance needs.
• Participate in cardiac arrest response and assist with bronchoscopies and sample collection.
• Initiate and monitor mechanical ventilation and manage artificial airways.
• Maintain patient records and workload statistics as required.
• Provide orientation and education to staff on respiratory equipment and services.
• Contribute to development of respiratory therapy materials and patient information.
