Job summary

Echelon Insurance in Montreal and Mississauga seeks an Actuarial student to work across Pricing, Corporate, or BI/Analytics disciplines. You will learn from the Actuarial Manager and collaborate with senior teams on data extraction, modeling, and reporting.

You are enrolled in Actuarial Science/Math/Statistics, proficient in Excel and programming basics, and fluent in English and French. This opportunity supports professional growth within a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

Enrolled in a post-secondary program with focus on Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related field.
Familiarity with Excel, VBA, Python, SAS, SQL or other programming languages is an asset.
Must balance multiple priorities and communicate clearly in English and French.

Responsibilities

Run data extraction applications and analyze results.
Contribute to monthly reserve reviews and analyze claims diagnostics.
Prepare liability estimates for review with senior management.
Assist in month-end financial reporting and IFRS 17 projects.
Contribute to rate filings, rate/product reviews, and competitive analyses.
Build and maintain profitability, growth, and segmentation models for internal decision-making.
