Job summary

TELUS Health Consulting is seeking a candidate for actuarial–focused work within Defined Benefits and Actuarial Services. You will contribute to pension plan valuations, benefit calculations, and plan design, supporting sponsors and fiduciaries with sound actuarial guidance.

You will engage in data analysis, stay current with regulations, and work collaboratively across teams to ensure accurate funding assessments and sustainable pension solutions for plan members.

Qualifications

• Post‑secondary education in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
• Strong competency with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Solid analytical and problem‑solving abilities with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assess the financial health of pension plans through valuations and data analysis.
• Calculate pension benefits based on service years, salary, and retirement age.
• Help sponsors determine appropriate contribution levels for long‑term sustainability.
• Assist in design and modification of pension plans.
